Who We Are Looking for:

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager for the Benelux, located in Belgium (or The Netherlands), with minimum 4 years experience in Business Development or Account Management and ideally a proven track record in software selling and/or in a (Marketing) Technology environment. Experience with (Fast Moving) Consumer Goods Clients is a plus.

Working within the commercial team, this role combines the development of existing small & large clients (up-selling, cross-selling, leverage within the BNL) and the hunting of new clients. In this role you work closely together with our customer success management team to ensure a successful long-term collaboration.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, enthusiastic individual who enjoys thinking like a business owner. The purpose of the role is to accelerate Hashting’s growth in the Benelux, developing, maintaining and nurturing relationships with stakeholders at different levels and in different roles. This role suits someone who enjoys building relationships and is driven by the desire to provide excellent customer service whilst identifying upsell opportunities.

Starting date is ASAP, you should be based anywhere in Belgium and will be able to work mainly remotely. Being based in the South of The Netherlands is an option too.

What You will Do On a Typical Day:

     

      • Generate new business opportunities from existing customers, coordinating cross-selling and upselling activities 

      • Generate new business leads from new clients 

      • Develop and close sales deals in collaboration with customer success and sales colleagues from across Europe

      • Be the main touchpoint to your clients and nurture the relationship while actively networking to broaden your reach

      • Develop and execute sales strategy

      • Manage potentially complex sales processes & stakeholders within large clients and multiple stakeholders (e.g. marketing, CRM, procurement, IT, compliance, legal, finance, customer service,…) 

      • Shape commercial proposals, presentation pitches, contracts and negotiating with prospects and existing clients 

      • Report all Sales activities (Include formal Sales reports) and  collaborate on strategic sales activities such as business reviews and account planning

    What You Need To Succeed: 

       

        • Native NL or FR (Preferably bilingual NL-FR) and very good/professional level of EN 

        • Experience in business development or account management

        • Experience in software / SaaS/Martech sales and/or (Fast Moving) Consumer Goods is a plus

        • Solid understanding of Marketing-lingo, sales-cycles and environment

        • Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building expertise and the intrinsic motivation to create new business opportunities 

        • Expertise in cross- and up-selling, solution & consultative selling skills

        • Be good with numbers to analyse results and advise clients accordingly

        • Be an independent, proactive, self-motivated team-player with a passion for marketing and brands.
